Microsoft will be ends its support of Windows XP today. Despite the claims of the end of the world we will not see computers running Windows XP turn off or turned over to China for nefarious bidding. Simply, today will be the last day Windows will no longer push updates for XP. The first Tuesday of every month Microsoft bundles all the fixes and updates it created and tested into a single upload and pushes it to all windows computers online. On May 5th there will be no updates available to Windows XP.
There is no need to panic if you do not use Windows XP. You will either want to keep Windows XP, or will want to move on. Here is what to keep in mind for these two options:
Keeping Windows XP is fine, as long as you understand that you need to keep extra vigilant. If you are not on line or not a heavy user of the internet then Windows XP is safe. If you are a heavy user of the internet then you need to spend extra time watching where you go on line and make sure you have a string anti-virus.
Moving off of Windows XP is a fine option. Most people are very dissatisfied with Windows 8 and Microsoft is working feverishly to get Windows 9 to market.Consider Windows 7 and waiting to see the market reaction to Windows 9.
